The Friends of Mineralogy is a non-profit organization founded in 1970 with an objective to promote, support, protect, and expand the collecting of mineral specimens, while furthering the recognition of the scientific, economic, and aesthetic value of minerals and mineral collecting. There are numerous chapters in the United States from coast to coast -- if you are a mineral collector, consider joining!
